This instrument is in excellent vintage condition with only light signs of use. The body shows a gorgeous burst with tight grain, the frets have plenty of life, and the neck is clean and straight with a comfortable vintage profile. The pickup covers and bridge cover are no longer installed, but the tortoiseshell pickguard is original and rich in colour.
Note: The pickups have been upgraded, so they are not original — a common and often tonal enhancement in the gigging world. If originality is important to you, please factor this into your consideration.
The '62 Jazz Bass reissue is known for its punchy mids, tight low end, and articulate top. Even with non-original pickups, this bass delivers exceptional Jazz Bass character — articulate fingerstyle, growling slap, and buttery warm low end when rolled back.
A beautifully preserved and gig-ready example of Fender's mid-'90s American Vintage Series, this ‘62 Jazz Bass reissue is a joy to play and an absolute head-turner in the studio or on stage.
