Designed by master luthier Hideshito Shino and crafted in Japan during the Vestax era, the NYSS-3B is one of D’Angelico’s most elegant modern semi-hollow designs - compact, resonant, and exceptionally well balanced.
This NYSS-3B LTD is a Japanese-market limited edition, commissioned by Vestax in 2013 as part of an ultra-small run of just twelve instruments, finished in exotic Silky Oak. These guitars were never offered through standard global distribution and are rarely encountered outside Japan.
Finished in a rich Antique Walnut Burst, this example offers a subtly brighter and more articulate top end than the spruce-top version, while maintaining warmth, sustain, and depth. The small semi-hollow body delivers impressive resonance without sacrificing comfort or control.
The neck profile is outstanding - a hallmark of Vestax-era D’Angelicos, and the instrument feels immediately responsive and inspiring to play.
Presented in excellent condition and supplied with its original D’Angelico hard case, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly special New Yorker.
