1991 Ibanez SR1500 Soundgear – Made in Japan

Just arrived on consignment is this beautiful 1991 Ibanez SR1500 Soundgear, built by FujiGen Japan.

These early Japanese Soundgear basses have become highly regarded for their outstanding craftsmanship, lightweight ash bodies and incredibly comfortable slim necks. If you've never played an early MIJ SR, you'll immediately understand why so many professional bassists still seek them out.

Finished in Natural, this SR1500 retains its original IBZ/USA C2 pickups, active electronics and all original hardware.

The bass is in very good vintage condition with only normal cosmetic wear consistent with a well-cared-for 34-year-old instrument. Hardware shows some age-related patina, while the body has a handful of small marks that add to its character without detracting from its overall presentation.
